RMHC of the Philadelphia Region, Inc. grants hundreds of thousands of dollars per year to support non-profit programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children. Ronald McDonald House® Program
The Ronald McDonald Houses provide a “home-away-from-home” for millions of families of seriously ill children who are receiving treatment at nearby hospitals. The first Ronald McDonald House opened in Philadelphia in 1974. There are now more than 288 Ronald McDonald Houses open in 52 countries and regions worldwide, including four locally:

Ronald McDonald Family Room® Program
An extension of the Ronald McDonald House program, Ronald McDonald Family Rooms provide a comfortable haven within hospitals for the families of children undergoing treatment. There are 15 family rooms throughout the Delaware Valley that are supported by RMHC of the Philadelphia Region, Inc. and the local Houses.
Ronald McDonald® Care Mobile operated by St. Christopher's Foundation for Children
Supported by RMHC of the Philadelphia Region, Inc. and operated by St. Christopher’s Foundation for Children, the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile is a mobile dental clinic on wheels that delivers quality diagnostic, preventative and restorative dental care to qualified new patients ages 1 through 8 at no cost to their family. More than 1,000 children are seen each year. Children qualify for the program if their families are unable to find a Medicaid provider or cannot afford to pay for dental services.

Care includes examinations, cleanings, fluoride and sealant treatments, x-rays and fillings. Care Mobile staff will also provide children with oral hygiene instruction. Complicated treatment will be referred and emergency care is available for returning patients. The Care Mobile Dental Program offers complete, continuous care and serves as a dental home for qualified children.

Public treatment sessions occur on the last Friday of each month from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, E. Erie Ave. & N. Front St., Philadelphia, PA 19134. To schedule an appointment, please call (215) 427-8877.
